Wouldn't it be cool to visit the wreck of the Titanic?

I have been very interested in the sinking of the Titanic every since the movie came out in the 90s. I think the movie makes you realize how serious it was that night. It was awful.

But, I am very interested in that event. I always thought it would be awsome to go to the ocean floor and see the titanic right in front of me. A ship that sinked like almost 100 years ago. It would be amazing to see after all this time..

I think it's interesting to think back to that night and imagine what was going on and stuff.....and even more fascinating to think about It now-after all these years. It's creepy when you see photos of the ship laying on the sea floor though! It's pretty dark and it's so damaged. It's sort of creepy seeing it....but I still think It would be very amazing to see in for real...laying right in front of me....

I think it would be cool to just take a boat cruise to the location of where it hit the iceberg. that would be pretty interesting as well.

Who else is fasinated by it?

I think that diving any shipwreck is an event.  Being able to see the Titanic would be kind of like going to Gettysburg.  Both very historical sites, but in very different ways.

I'm a certified scuba diver.  In one of my dives, we went to a sunken ship (sunken on purpose - not a ship wreck).  On the way down 3 women chickened out because we were going down about 120 feet in to the dark and deep water (clear and bright daylight above).

So it may sound "romantic" from where you are sitting. But it can get creepy and scary when you are descending in to the black waters.

Even though I am certified diver, I have no desire to visit the death site of so many people.
