  1. No

  2. Not so funny...

It is believed that soon after its formation 4.5 billion years ago, the Earth received a glancing blow from a Mars-sized protoplanet with about 10% of the Earth's mass, called Theia.  Some of Theia's mass would have merged with the Earth and a portion would have been ejected into space, but enough material would have been sent into orbit to form the Moon.

It is thought that the Moon may have dramatically affected the development of life on Earth by moderating the climate and stabilising its axial tilt, possibly preventing it tipping over completely with one pole pointing directly toward the Sun during summer and directly away during winter, which might have killed off all large animal and higher plant life.

  3. Impossible I am afraid - If we were a small part of a much bigger planet the gravity of the bigger planet would squash any Earth like life flat

  4. but then why would our planet be perfectly spherical? If we were a chip from a bigger one, surely we'd have a jagged edge somewhere.
