  1. yeah replace politicians with low income people or from middle class that dont have health insurance, that live from pay check. dang wouldnt that change a lot of things in washington!!!

cause them politicians look too comfortable escpecially when the rest are losing there jobs.

  2. We can do something better----check to see how they are voting and get rid of the ones who will not do the right thing.

  3. Yes.

  4. Yes, same goes for the supreme court justices.

    VOTE VOTE VOTE!

  5. No - the republicans brought in a congress full of new people once - and they shut down the government.  It was awful.  They knew nothing about negotiating and were abusive and arrogant.

  6. Actually you can do it every 4-6 years.

  7. That would be chaos...

Haven't you ever seen what happens when a state picks a house rep who is a former bus driver?

It's ridiculous how the community plummets into desperation and they are punished for not voting for the weirdo who has a political science degree...

The only way you should vote for someone with no experience is if you absolutely hate their party to the core...

Getting rid of all the old politicians is not the only way to prevent corruption - you can also really think about the new ones you elect.

  8. WOW!

That's EXACTLY what the founding fathers had in mind.

Politics was never meant to be a career.

That's why there are terms of service.

A man was supposed to leave his home and family to represent his constituents, serve his country and go back home to his life, leaving his post to a new man in tune to the new problems of the same constituancy.

Political service was never meant to be a career and the fact that it has become so is a travesty.

That's why we need the same term limitations on ALL the Congress as is placed upon the President.

    Look at it this way:

If the President had the same term limits as Congress, Bill Clinton would still be in Office.

Kind of like the Supreme Court.

  9. We need a National Referendum on term limits. One term in the Senate, two in the House. After the term is up, here is a check for 50 grand, thank you for your service and you may not run for any Federal elected position except President. You may not run your wife or child for the seat you had to vacate. No more entering Congress stone broke and leaving a millionaire. No more big retirements when the other working people are getting Social Security. No more sitting in the Congress for fifty years. I do not believe that is what the Framers had in mind with the citizen Statesman. Here in Ca. we at least did one thing right when the Democrats tried to reverse the term limits law we have here. They had a ballot measure that was so convoluted it would have allowed those that are termed out this Nov.to stay another 12 years and Arnie the turncoat went along with it. Just like he promised no tax increases and is now siding with the Dems in Sacramento that want to raise taxes and not cut spending. Enough is enough. The former Democrat Senator from Georgia Zell Miller in his book, "A National Party No More" stated that the first thing that happens to a new Congress member is the rest corrupt them.

Additional: America did not vote for Senators until 1913, I believe it was, when Congress added an Constitutional Amendment allowing the states to elect them. Up until then the State Representives appointed the Senators, if they did not do the will of the people the Governor of the State could remove them and the Representives would appoint new ones.

  10. Politicans are like diapers. they should be changed frequently, and for the same reason

  11. That'd be AWESOME.

You should write to people and get that put into order.

  12. It should be every other two years. Two years on, two off and if they don't get it right the first time they would not ever get elected again. In the two years off they may have to resort to real jobs and get a clue.

  13. It would be awesome! Maybe then our elected officials would actually listen to us.
