Wouldn't it be great to have the opening of the Olympics 2012?

based on British history like jousting the Normans,Tudors,Waterloo,Trafalgar, kings and queens great leaders just to show the world our outstanding past history.i am so proud of our history.

  3. Nope. Have 2000 Morris dancers to open and a big g*y parade. Remember we're on a budget, but a g*y parade will always get well funded, no matter what.

  6. Magna Carta, Bill of Rights and Republicanism (Cromwell) are just a few other options. But it's the London Olympics not the British Olympics.

I'm pretty sure it's going to end up being like a military tattoo because the army are the only people who are going to be organised enough to get it together.  That and they'll parade the royal family around a bit on some golden carriages.  I wouldn't be surprised if they wheeled out Elton John either.

  12. There's more chance of h**l freezing over than any reference to this Islands history. British history is no longer Politically Correct in this modern day society we have to endure.

    The opening ceremony is going to be so PC it will be an embarrasment.
