Wouldn't it be more appropriate for the Philippines to get its foreign aid from the Vatican?

Since they all claim to be proud religious catlicks and wouldn't dare use contraception or have abortions.....I think Rome should provide the means to support the throng of hungry mouths born every day in the country as a result of the filipino catlicks' adherence to those religious rules.

  1. The Philippines does not need aid from any foreign country.  It just needs to replace the BIR and Bureau of Customs with INC or the Iglesia Ni Cristo.  If you have seen their methods of collecting money from their church members, you would be amazed.  That is why you will never see their churches looking old and dirty.  And if you think the Catholic Church is conservative, INC members are segregated by s*x in the church.  You do not see men sitting besides women.

  2. I find your question quite insulting. Do you even know the essence of 'AID'? You know what I think, the Philippines is infested with narrow-minded people like you that's why most of the population are selfish and corrupt.

I dont think your inquiry is appropriate in the Philippine Travel segment. Post this somewhere else...maybe under Politics and Government or Religion and Spirituality.

  3. lol, good point,I think there comes a time when people should use the logic god gave them

  4. Catholic Relief Services been working in the Philippines since 1945: http://crs.org/philippines/history.cfm

Caritas Philippines – the National Secretariat for Social Action, Justice and Peace (NASSA) was created by the Catholic Bishop's Conference of the Philippines in 1966 serves over a half a million people: http://www.caritas.org/worldmap/asia/phi...

    With love in Christ.

  5. Filipinos are  not starving to death. There is no need to get any aid to feed them. They have to work to live not depending on others. Does adherence to religious rules lead to starvation in the Philippines. Tell those people not to be so lazy, get up and work.

  6. We just existed on this planet for the past decade/s or so. The teaching of the Catholic Church goes all the way back 2,000 years, careful study with scripture and sacred tradition to back it up. So "modern" thinkers better think again coz the issues are deeper/more infernal than we think.

Understanding the Catholic stand: Why Pills Cause Early Abortion

Here's a way to learn more why we should defend our Catholic faith's stand against the Reproductive Health Bill.

The Church is against the bill because, among other things, the Reproductive Health Bill will allow abortion. How? The Catholic Church has always taught that "Life begins at conception" that is, upon the union of the sperm and the egg.

Population Control groups are now insisting now that "life begins at implantation." This gives them the excuse to destroy the fertilized egg (3-5day old fetus/baby) before implantation which is what most contraceptive pills do. Some 15 years ago, oral contraceptive pills had 400 mcg. of ethinyl estradiol to prevent ovulation (ovary's production of a mature ovum) but caused nausea and headaches, which made it unpopular. They reduced ethinyl estradiol to less than 10% (30 mcg), to make it more popular. Oral contraceptive pills today have reduced contents of ethinyl estradiol, which allows ovulation (production of a mature egg and the union of the sperm with the egg). BUT why won't you get pregnant? Oral contraceptives now have an added chemical, levonorgestrel, that prevents implantation of the fertilized egg ( 3-5day old fetus/baby). This causes early abortion.

    Hope this helps.

  7. Maybe they should use it and stuff their mouths with it instead. The church has no business meddling with a married couple's decisions and how and when they want to have s*x.

  8. agree with you.

  9. My feeling on this subject is that this country is bordering on being a theocracy instead of a democracy. I am glad that I'm not a Catholic (although my father was), but was baptized in the Czechoslovak Hussite church. For the millions that don't know what that means, Jan Hus was a Catholic preaching against rich priesthood. The pope had him burned at the stake. So much for Catholicism.

My wife is a Catholic. I'll defend her right to be that. BUT I will curse anyone who will try to tell me how to run our lives.

  10. it's the other way around... big chunks of  the monies collected from catholic members in the philippines goes to the vatican...
