Not really, except for the fact that (as according to good ol' Wikipedia) "CEO Ray Kroc famously prohibited the company from selling hot dogs, regardless of potential demand, as he regarded them as unhygienic in his 1977 autobiography." So odds are pretty good they wont have 'em. But let's face it, not every decision the man made was a good one.

Afterall they thought that the Hulaburger would work. Not to mention the ill-fated McDLT, the Beefsteak Sandwich, Onion Nuggets,  McLean Deluxe, The Triple Ripple, The Arch Deluxe, The Torta, McStuffin, Chicken McGrill, McGrilled Chicken Classic, McCrispy Chicken, Fried Roast Beef Sandwich, Philly Cheesesteak, Pizza, Lasagna, Grilled Chicken Flatbread Sandwich, Chicken Platter, Big 33, Triple-Double Burger, Beef Wennington and of course there was the Dinner Menu.

actually, it was great.  good hot dogs when they first tried it during a few summers ago.  wish they would bring it back.

Mc Donalds has a good variety already.  Hot dogs are good but they are not part of their menu.

Anything they sell tastes good. It's like they put something special into it. I think their hot dogs would be wild!  With BBQ sauce too!

in maine when i was in middle school 5-7 years ago they sold hot dogs at mcdonalds

Not really. It is a good, inexpensive kids meal and some adults like them fully loaded. In fact, Burger King used to sell hot dogs until the early 1970's. For some reason, most hamburger establishments got away from the trend. You can still get them at the old-fashioned drive-ins like Sonic.
