...to build a school away from the main road to keep traffic from heavy congestion? There should be little argument against this suggestion because its true that during the summer, traffic is lighter than when school is open.

  1. Actually, the trafffic is about double during the summer. But its not as easy as just building a new school. They probably built that school before that main road was built. If you pay taxes, and are willing to pay alot more, petition the school board, and the city to build a new school.

  2. Well, you first should look at the fact of when the school was built...The road that is now a main road might not have been such a main road at that time. Plus, population growth has only increased, therefore chances are the roads have been enlarged, and made more like highways than anything else. Plus it makes more sense for schools to be in a centrally located area instead of way out away from where the children live.

  3. like others have said it all depends on when the school was built.  but i know there are a lot of schools being built on busy roads now and that just makes things worse.  the high school i went to, was not on a main road and traffic was light and it made things easier, and that school is 50 years old.  but it would make sense from now on to not build a school on a busy road in the first place, and if it eventually is a main road, then it happens but yeah.  i hope that makes sense.

  4. Yes, and lets's get that school playgound out of sight of all that traffic, to make it easier for pedophiles to scout their victims.

Oh, that wasn't your intent?  Well, that's what would happen.  The traffic that you worry about as a danger is the traffic that keeps kids visible if something untoward happens.

The school playground doesn't disappear when school is out.  It is used after school, and all summer long, during spring break, etc, and there are no teachers there at those times.  Playgrounds and parks have become shopping grounds for perverts, and the more traffic, the more people pass by, the safer the children are.  I'm sorry you can't understand that.
