Wouldn't religion be much better if everyone understood the concept of 'sacred time?'?

no 'once for all' regeneration would be a big blow for the exclusivity of 5 point Calvinism; the place of the Hajj in the SOUL of every man would aid the universalistic elements of Islam. Evangelicals would not criticise other Christians for the 'perpetual sacrifice' of Christ in the Eucharist. Hebrew and Islamic Jihad would be understood as something that happens in the soul of every man, rather than merely unpleasant events of centuries ago. Can you think of any other examples?

  1. You're asking if religion would be much better if everyone agreed on the same thing? Probably. Well, it would be much calmer anyway.

  2. Here is an example:-

Try the Religion & Spirtuality section.

    this is Anthropology!

  3. religion would cease to be necessary.

    how about this: "sacred everything"

  4. Almost all of the worlds` religions teach goodness and love, it is the little details that differ. If we all learned to accept this and then believed the way we want to, without interference from others, there would be no problem.

  5. that makes sense to me, a nod to Jung's universal subconsciousness. Also it would cut out the ridiculous creationist challenge to science by putting it on the sacred myth level rather than the literal meaning that seems to be the practice of some denominations.
