If it were raining men? I mean, in the song they sound so happy about it, but it seems very painful. For both the men and pedestrians.

I believe it depends on the size of the men. If it rained normal-sized men, yes, it would be painful and most likely fatal and quite gruesome for all involved. If the men were miniature, however, one would need to calculate their terminal velocity and the force with which they would hit the ground. I'm talking about VERY small men, now. LIke ant-sized men. Ants can fall from very high without getting hurt because they are so light  it takes them much longer to reach terminal velocity. If it rained midget-men, there would definitely be fatalities, in addition to many laughs as they plummeted toward the ground, waving their stubby arms and screaming in their tiny voices.

It would suck if it were raining men. My best friend Matt came raining down from his roof and landed right on top of my--not only was it painfully, it was funny, which made it hurt a whole bunch more. : )
