Wow, alot of young maternal urges!?

Question

In the adolescent section, the most poplar questions were, "Am i pregnant?" etc. But now i am hear young girls saying that they are having maternal urges to be a parent... so my question is...

Was this always a stage teenagers went through? Or has it just started because so many teens have been getting pregnant?

FYI i'm not trying to be mean saying its bad or anything to have these urges, i have some myself, but know theres no way in h**l i could take care of a baby... i just want to know if this has been forever, or jut started?

i dont even know why so many young girls would want to be a parent at a young age. it's hard and they wouldnt be able to deal with it. i practically had to raise my little sister cause my dad was always handing her off to me cause he didnt want to do it and i was 13 or 14 and it's hard. just taking care of my sister when she was a baby made me not want to have a kid at a young age. im 21 now and i still dont want kids right now. lol.

even though i'm glad i have my little bundles of joy...

i  think all girls have these urges. they see babies as pretty little dolls that you get to dress up and have everybody coo over. i remember having these urges, i couldnt wait to be a mum. but believe me, the reality is very different from the dream.

Hmmm thats a good question...i know i went through that 2 years ago and then i didnt want a baby till i was thirty lol now im about to be sixteen and prego....im pretty sure everyone goes through it at some point...

Wow that is really weird! I can say at like 12 and 13 I did not want a baby. I think that might be because when I was like 12, I think.........my dad and my stepmom had a baby. He was pretty much like Damien from the Omen, so maybe its because teens aren't really around babies and kids all that much they don't know what they are getting into. I dunno that is very strange, none of my friends went through that either.

i think most young girls wanna be mothers and they cant wait to be mothers its just natural.. except now days alot of these females are going through with the feeling and are actually having babies thinking its gonna be a walk in the park or something...

and then there are some who probably wanna be moms cuz they see there friends having babies.

Well I am 21 and I can say at the age of 12 or 13 I was not coming online and asking ppl for their advice.I think that every teen that thinks about boys or girls are curious on what s*x and having a baby is like.I dont think they think things through.But there are alot of factors tho why girls want to become pregnant.Their upbringing.Friends.Family.Social life.They need to feel good about themselves or feel needed or wanted.All sorts of social and emotional factors.I was 15 when I got pregnant.And now I am 21 and have 2 kids and am still with the father of 7 years.We are happy.But we also went through more than I could take now to be where were at.Young girls think having a baby is like getting a new puppy.Everything in this world is going up and everything is hurting right now.Were in the middle of a war and depression is on its way.I couldnt imagine having a kid at age 13 right now.Too hard.It takes alot of mentality to raise kids.I think young girls are so bored with life that they think up things that would make them less bored.And being pregnant is one of them.Forgeting that once that baby comes there is 18 years of YOUR life you have to spend raising and teaching that child.So when they become an adult they can survive in this world!
