Alright, so I'm having quite the problem. I think it's going be kinda long, but it is so important! Please help :)

So I'm 15 and i moved out this summer. Im living with a friend, and im paying her 200$ a month for rent. (i just live in her living room) And right now i have a job, I work 6pm-2am Mon-Fri. And Sat and Sun i work at my second job 12-8. So I'm working 56 hours a week. I was thinking of quitting my week-end job, but will sleeping tons on the week-end really work?

I have to start getting up at 7am to go to school! And I'm in school full time, no spares 9:00-3:45.

I'm starting to realize that life on my own is tough, but I really can't go back home. I can't go to Child and Family Services, cause my living arrangement right now is obviously illegal.

So I'm not to sure what to do. I mean I don't even have a car! I have to walk home, which takes half an hour. I live in a small town with no bus, and I can't afford cabs. Do you think 5 hours between work and school is ok? Im off at 2am, and i get up at 7. So probably 3-4 hours of actual sleep. And I don't wanna drop out of school, but I do need this money. What can i do? I need some serious help, school starts on September 4!

This is in Manitoba, Canada btw.

  1. Well you clearly have a dilemma.  Why can't you go back home?  Was there an abusive situation?  Was the environment too negative?  Or did you just have an argument and decide to show your independence?  I really think that you should do whatever you can to make things better and move back home.  I know some people who take on serious amounts of responsibility at age 15 and grow up way too quickly and miss out on life completely.  You don't want to be 30 looking  back and wondering where your life went.  And I know in the US, its illegal to work more than 3 hours per day during the week if you're younger than 16 (at least it was the last time i checked).  I could  give you a considerable amount of more sound advice and specifics, but this situation shouldn't even exist and yahoo answers is not the best forum to address a question of this magnitude.  If possible, work things out, talk to a school counselor or other trusted adulted, and go home young fella

  2. Well, you're 15 right?

If you keep that up just wait for grade 12. Let us know then if you're still alive.

  3. if im missin somethin im srry (didn't read all that **** up top) but i think you should cut 2 part tyme .

now i did um ask 2 exstend yo tyme(its late i ain't botherin wit spellin) for due if she/he don't you need a better payin job

  4. Wow....

Well, I'm 18, moved out, have two jobs, and TEN COLLEGE CLASSES.

    I'm gone 6am-11pm.

The school will NOT let you work at night and will NOT let you work beyong 20 hours a week (I think only 16-17 year olds without HS diplomas can work that much).

You should cut down on one of the jobs, which ever is easier for your schooling.

    School is important now.
