Discipline priests have great survivability in bg's, and in a 2v2 arena team with a rogue, are d**n tough to beat. A good resto Druid has the best survivability in pvp because they can Cyclone, root, then change to cheetah form to get away from their opponent. Paladins are generally pretty gimp in pvp, they don't have anything impressive in their arsenal and even pally bubbles can be Mass Dispelled by a Priest. An elemental shaman with good gear is strong in 5v5 arena because of chain lightning. Mages are also good in 2v2 arenas because they can polymorph their opponents, and ice block if they're in any danger. Frost mages are usually better for pvp than Fire mages.

Largely, it depends on what kind of pvp you want to do. My choice for best class in BG's like AB, WSG, and EOTS is a subtlety specced Rogue. You can sap, blind, kick, shadowstep, cloak of shadows, vanish, stunlock, cheat death, and put out good burst damage.

The best class for Arenas is a druid, especially restoration because it is literally almost impossible to kill them.

druids are nice - they can do a bit of everything, dps, tank, flag run, heal

shamans are okay but your totems don't always help because people don't stay inthe same spot,

priests are always good to have around

mages - only if you really know how to play it. otherwise you get taken out by rogues

pallys -i've never actually seen a lot of them in pvp.

druids are probably the msot useful imo.
