Wow I love Japan and the Japanese!?

Question

I went to the countryside of Japan and there was some vegetables from the farm and a box with some money in it. It was a vege store without stuff. Nobody is watching but everybody pays for the vegetables. Isn't that what only Japanese culture can do? I'm from Germany and if it was in Germany, people would steal the money and vegetables for sure lol

yeah i was also surprised when i first saw such a store even though am a japanese lol

i have never seen the same thing in other countries. humm...maybe its a kind of japanese things.

the veges/fruit there must be fresh, so u should try! enjoy japan life;)

It is very cool. I have seen it in the U.S. also out in the country. Some people in town also do that with flowers for sale.

Did they watch you closely to make sure you didn't steal anything? After all, you are a German and a gaijin. I doubt they trusted you.
