The question is "Describe how different perspectives may affect the way different people perceive the region around your community."

...DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVES *IS* THE WAY DIFFERENT PEOPLE PERCEIVE THE REGION. How am I supposed to explain how something effects itself?!

  1. Well, people who live in the same place you live in can think different about the place you live in.

  2. The perspective that a rain forests moisture is normal would make someone perceive England as a very dry country where it doesn't rain a lot.

Well my example is kind of stupid but you get what I mean, right?

  3. It's true this question is wordy. It is poorly stated.

In what ways do people differ as to how they view their community?

    THAT is the question.

One person has one perspective, another person has another. You are to discuss these differences of perspective.

  4. The question is asking "how" not why.  Different perspectives is why, how is upbringing, employment, religion, etc.

  5. There is a forty-acre pasture out on the edge of your town. A farmer looks at the ground and thinks he could plow it up into rows and plant corn. A building developer thinks he can lay out some streets and build houses on the forty-acres. A pig-farmer wants to raise several hundred little pigs in confined pig-raising buildings and smell up the whole community. An environmentalist wants to build a dam at the lower end of the property and create a lake. A guy who owns a road-building machine that will earn him no return on his investment unless it is actually working wants to build a highway through the middle of the forty-acres whether a new highway is actually needed or not.
