Wow ! someones pet bird came to me.how do I find her home.?

I was outside and she came to me.She looks well taken care of.I looked in the lost and found and I only see cats and dogs.I dont mind keeping her.but not without trying to find her home first.She is a Parakeet. any web sites for lost birds??

put a found ad in the paper. and put up found signs around your neighborhood. chances are the owners will be looking for it and will check the paper first

Take care of the bird for now.  Keep looking in the paper.

It is the responsibility of the owner to find her by posting signs.  You just wait and relax.  Thanks for saving the life of the bird.

There is a Yahoo group called 911 Parrot Alert, just for lost and found birds. It's www.911parrotalert.com

You can look through the "lost" notices for your area. You may find it listed there. If you don't see it, post a "found" notice of your own.

You might also post some flyers in your area.  They don't usually fly too far from home.  Keep checking the papers, too.  Also, people often post flyers about their missing birds.  Good luck!!

Post flyers saying lost parakeet found, and have your home phone on the flyer.

You will have a problem finding her family. Try reading the newspaper and looking for a missing bird ad.
