Wrapping yourself in gladwrap to loose weight?

Ive heard so many ppl talk about it.. wrap yourself in plastic and u loose water weight or something..can anyone explain how this works?? Thanks x

  1. I would not suggest you do that.  That is not a good healthy way to lose to lose weight.  Proper eating and exercise is the only way to go.  


  2. Sounds more like a kink than anything.

    You could post that on the net and probably make some good $$$ off it.

    Have to remember that when the next person asks "how do I make $$$ quickly on the net..."

  3. If you did it this way, you'd be losing water weight, not fat. Your water weight fluctuates constantly anyway, so you're really not losing anything.

  4. Honestly, this sounds dangerous.

    Wrapping yourself in plastic wrap will have a green house effect on you, it will keep the sweat from your pores close to your body adding heat. This in turn will make you sweat more. So yes, I guess you would lose water weight.

    Unfortunatly this can backfire and just make you dehydrated. I take that back. The purpose is to make you dehydrated. Drinking any water would just defeat the purpose of the plastic wrap.
