Wrath of Lich King beta!?

Question

Hey. I got an e-mail saying I got signed up for the beta. I think? First I have to make sure my account is burning crusade. Which it is. Second I can copy a character but I am not going to because I don't have a 70 yet. Ima jsut make a death knight. Third I have to make a temporary account. It sends me to a weird site not looking like a blizzard site. 4th I ahve to download the client. Please tell me if this is fake or no. Nd if you answer have some good knowledge about it.

the fact that you would have to download a client its really difficult to think that they are not sending you malwares to spy on you. hopefully you haven't downloaded it yet or installed the said trash on to your computer. its a fake!

There is alot of phising going on, so be carefull!

Ten to one says it's a fake. It kind of screams "Virus", but, thats just me.  Wrath of the Lich King still has a lot of bugs in it, and the only beta versions sent out were to the big gaming companies such as IGN and Gamespot. They won't have open beta testing just yet, but, they will soon.

To answer your other questions, you will have a temporary account, but you'll have a level 70 (death knight, probably) to test EVERYTHING in there, from top to bottom. Thats generally how beta testing works. And, you would probably need The Burning Crusade expansion pack to be able to do anything with Wrath of the Lich King. But, just my point of view.

i think the beta was only given to those who went to blizzcon or something like that. im not 100% sure. i did the same thing but it just said i could sign up to win a beta version or something like that. just becareful.
