Wrestling: Chavo Guerrero vs. MVP, Friday Night Smack Down
For some people, professional wrestling is an art, for others, it is a money making business but for Chavo Guerrero, it is a family tradition. It was Friday Night Smack Down and Chavo Guerrero entered the ring to fight against the Ballin’ superstar, “MVP”. Chavo Guerrero needed to impress the General Manager of Smack Down, Teddy Long so that he could get a chance to participate in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match at the upcoming Pay per View.
Chavo Guerrero who calls himself the great Mexican warrior comes from a long line of great Mexican wrestlers. His uncle, the famous Eddie Guerrero, was one of the most beloved fighters in the history of professional wrestling. Eddie Guerrero was also inducted in the WWE Hall of Fame in recognition of his services to the professional wrestling world. His grandfather was the legendary wrestling promoter and fighter, Gory Guerrero. During his storied career, Chavo Guerrero won many important title belts and championships including the WCW Cruiser Weight Championship, WWE Cruiser Weight Championship, WWE Tag Team Championship and the ECW championship.
Chavo Guerrero lost his wrestling style a bit after the untimely death of Eddie Guerrero. However, Chavo Guerrero was determined to make a comeback as he walked towards the ring to face MVP. The aunt of Chavo Guerrero and former wife of Eddie Guerrero, Vickie Guerrero is the official consultant to the Smack Down General Manager and was helping Chavo in scheduling his matches.
On the other hand, there was another charismatic wrestler waiting for Chavo Guerrero to enter the ring. It was the former United States wrestling champion, MVP. MVP knew that his reputation was at stake and losing to Chavo Guerrero could mean a loss of prestige in the world of professional wrestling and perpetual humiliation at the hands of the Mexican warrior.
The match started as Chavo Guerrero quickly kicked the ribs of MVP. This gave enough time to Chavo Guerrero to roll in the air and deliver a vicious kick to the jaw of his competitor and knock him down. He then proceeded to deliver relentless kicks to the shoulder and neck of MVP. Chavo Guerrero was on a roll and it seemed that MVP will be unable to stop the march of the Mexican warrior in the ring. More attacks came as Chavo Guerrero delivered his famous signature wrestling move called the “three omegos”. During the execution of this move, Chavo Guerrero picks his opponent three times in the air, and, then slams his body on the ring floor to create the maximum impact.
The body of MVP was battered after receiving a beating from Chavo Guerrero. The momentum of the match shifted when Chavo Guerrero jumped high in the air to land on the ribs of MVP. MVP was quick in his movement and rolled out as Chavo Guerrero landed on the ring floor. MVP then knocked down Chavo Guerrero after delivering a vicious close line multiple times.
MVP gathered his strength and executed his wrestling finishing manoeuvre and smashed the face of Chavo Guerrero on the ring floor. It was the end of the match for the Mexican warrior as MVP went for the cover and the referee counted to three with both shoulders of Chavo Guerrero touching the ring floor.
There are two spots vacant as there are currently only 6 participants for the Smack Down Money in the Bank Ladder Match. These 6 participants include the largest athlete in the world, “Big Show”, Kane, Christian, Kofi Kingston, Matt Hardy and the Dashing Cody Rhodes. The competition is tough and no one can say for sure about the last two participants for the Money in the Bank Ladder Match. Every wrestler will put his career on the line as a win in Money in the Bank gives the winner a title shot at the World Heavy Weight Champion.
