Wrestling Rankings till June 14, 2010
It’s the time to see the rankings of the top wrestlers in the professionally wrestling world of WWE as the Fatal Four Way, Pay per View for the WWE championship and World Heavy Weight Championship is coming near and different championships and careers are on the line. It has been an exciting week in WWE and different wrestlers have climbed the ladder to become the best in professional wrestling while others have simply lost their ranking and prestige.
It is the ultimate underdog, the master of 619, the high flying Rey Mysterio who has grabbed the top rank among the professional wrestlers. Rey Mysterio who uses his small height to his advantage by using high flying maneuvers has beaten many wrestlers. His latest prey was the World Heavy Weight Champion, the two time all – American amateur hero, Jack Swagger, who was pinned on the last Friday Night Smack Down. Rey Mysterio defeated Jack Swagger by landing on his neck from a great height. This win has given momentum to Rey Mysterio for the Fatal Four Way and has taken him to the top spot in the WWE wrestling rankings.
Next in line is the 500 pound giant, Big Show who is more than 7 feet tall and is the largest athlete in the world. He defeated his former Tag Team partner, Chris Jericho in a body slam match on last Monday Night Raw and then gave C M Punk a beating of his life time. Big Show inflicted pain and punishment on C M Punk by delivering heavy chops on his chest. Perhaps Big Show has given a signal to the wrestling world that he will stop at nothing when he will face other wrestlers for the World Heavy Weight Championship at Fatal Four Way, Pay per view.
It is Kofi Kingston who has occupied the third spot after impressing the wrestling world with his great fighting skills and attractive personality. Kofi Kingston scored a stunning victory over Luke Gallows who is part of the C M Punk’s Straight Edge society. But his more impressive moment came when he kicked the skull of “Drew McIntyre” with a rolling “trouble in paradise”. Kofi Kingston became the first wrestler who stood up against the threat of Drew McIntyre and McIntyre is backed by many powerful professional wrestling administrators.
Then there is John Cena, who is recognized by wrestling fans all over the world. John Cena is the face of professional wrestling in WWE and is recognized as one the most famous, brave and loved wrestlers of all time. John Cena was the top wrestler in the last week rankings but then something strange happened. John Cena was attacked by the entire roster from the first season of NXT wrestling. 8 wrestlers brought havoc in the WWE arena and inflicted extreme pain and punishment on the body of John Cena. As a result John Cena lost 3 points and received the 4th position on WWE power rankings.
It is the Rated – R wrestling super star, Edge who received the 5th position in WWE power rankings. He maintained his position over from past week as he savagely and brutally attacked Randy Orton and injured his right shoulder. Perhaps causing an injury was not a big deal for Edge so he challenged the apex predator of professional wrestling, Randy Orton to a one on one match. Edge dominated in the ring by severely beating Randy Orton with a steel chair and injuring him even more. All energies of Edge are focused on winning the WWE wrestling championship at Fatal Four Way, Pay per view. Edge’s fighting techniques combined with his disregard for rules for professional wrestling make him one of the deadliest and threatening wrestlers today.
These rankings say a lot about the performance of the wrestler in the past week but they may change as different wrestlers score major wins over their opponents. Keep your fingers crossed and watch your favorite wrestlers in action.
