Former Arsenal striker, Ian Wright has gone on to insist that the North London club need to make their aims and ambitions public, as he is amongst the numerous fans of the club who were shocked to hear that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robin-van-Persie-c31380 was the newest player
to be on his way out of the club.
When talking about Van Persie’s decision to leave, Wright seemed to take a completely different approach to the whole scenario and claimed that he didn’t blame the striker for what has happened.
Wright said: "I don’t blame him for his decision. In fact, I don’t think he even has a choice anymore because he’s an ambitious, world-class player who can’t achieve his targets with the club."
The former Gunner also believes that the club need to come forth and make their plans clear to the fans. He believes that the loyal supporters of the club need to come clean and reveal just what is going on, since just about everyone associated with the
club is quite confused.
He added: "So now it’s time for Arsene Wenger and the directors to come clean because the supporters — who have stuck by their team for seven long years without a trophy — deserve to know just what is going on.”
He also doesn’t understand how the team needs to let go of one top player every season, since on paper the club has rather decent resources to work with.
"How the h**l did a club of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429’s standing and resources get to the point where they are forced to wave goodbye to at least one top star every year?"
In the end, he blamed the team’s transfer policy for being the source of the problem. He claimed that the team was willing to pay over the top transfer fees to retain players from time to time, however they didn’t do the same while landing players.
Using the example of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786, only because the club were reluctant to pay the right price for his capture.
It is now up to the club to respond to these allegations, since more and more fans are starting to feel the same way that Wright does.
