  1. Wrist guards really do help - especially when learning or when you will be hitting the snow a lot (learning new tricks, etc). I personally like the kind that go UNDER the glove, like the kind from DaKine:

With these, you can take them off when you don't need them without having an extra pair of gloves.

    Good Luck

  2. I don't use them but if you were doing big air id wear them just for the protection!

  3. one of the most common injuries of snowboarders is broken wrists which is one of the worst broken bones to have (in my opinion) wrist gaurds will prevent this injury but i myself dont wear them. i wore them for other sports when i was younger though and i see people wearing them in parks occasionally.  it really comes back to whether its worth it to you to be safe with a little extra effort.

i dont wear them myself but i do see reason for them.

  4. These are one of those things that you'd never think of buying but, after the fact, you wish you would've.

The first time I went out boarding, I thought wrist guards, knee pads, azz pads (they actually make these BTW) were stupid.

After boarding, I REALLY REALLY wished I had some of these things to make my day a little easier.

Having been riding for awhile now, I feel that the wrist guards are quite cumbersome and get in the way more than anything else.

It's up to you really, saftey is always a first however, as long as you "know" how to fall, you'll be fine. Yeah, after your first day you'll be sore as h**l from riding/falling but you'll learn. Eventually, after awhile, you won't need wrist guards and, if you did but wristguard, you'll wonder why you bought them in the first place.

I say, forget the wrist guards, man up and take your falls like everyone else. You'll learn quicker that way. What I would recommend buying from the get go is a helmet. Whether noob or advanced, a helmet is always a good thing to have.

  5. i dont use any

  6. I were mine when I go into the park or it is icy other wice i don't were them as i find the uncumfy.
