In this country, English is our mode of communication.  The better we communicate, the better we get along.  Lately, too many factions have insisted on developing their own "talk."  Words have too many meanings.  g*y used to mean happy, fly was an insect, a crib was where a baby slept, guap was the goo under your shoe!  The purpose of language is to better communication.  If I can't understand what you're trying to tell me, how can we get along...how can we work together as a group?  If we don't work on sharing a universal language (in this country, English), we'll never be able to communicate and function as a whole.
