can handle 41,000 "hits" per second. The web site currently experiences a peak demand of about 105,000 hits per second; but every month, the peak demand increases by 2800 hits per second. Use a proportion equation to determine how many new servers the administrator should buy to address expected traffic for the next 24 months.

  1. I'm not sure what u mean by proportion equation but this is how I would solve

Find how many hits per second

    105,000 + 24x2800 = 105,000 + 67,270 = 172,200

How many servers do we need to cover these hits

    172,200 / 41,000 = 4.2 servers

you cant have .2 of a servers so our answer is 5 servers.
