IF YOU CAN, provide an explanation! i need to learn how to do this!

THANK YOUUUU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1) x^2 y^2 - 2x 6y 6 = 0

2) x^2 y^2 - 2x 6y 10 = 0

3) 2x^2 2y^2 - 2x - 2y - 3 = 0

4)16x^2 16y^2 16x 40y - 7 = 0

  1. Try using Alt 43 to get the plus signs to show up. Hold down the Alt button while typing 43 and when you let go of the Alt button, voila!

    +

  2. sorry, i dont understand the question- should there by addition signs between the terms? You cannot solve the equation otherwise, because 2x6y6 does not make sense.

HOwever, try putting the equation into form a^2+b+c (which is standard from)

There are numerous methods of doint this- trying getting each term onto its own, whether you use factorisation methods (difference of squares, perfect squares, etc) or expansion- just try to get them into the correct form

THis stuff is pretty easy to learn- just get a Year 10 Textbook and go to the Quadratic Equation section.

If that doesn't help, try asking this question in 'Mathematics'

  3. All 4 of these will follow the same process, so

    1) x^2 + y^2 - 2x +  6y + 6 = 0

    x^2 - 2x + 1 + y^2 +  6y + 3^2 - 9 - 1 + 6 = 0

    (x - 1)^2 + (y + 3)^2 - 4 = 0

    (x - 1)^2 + (y + 3)^2 = 4

I've seen some people edit their questions and the + signs show up in the "Additional Details" section.
