I'm not asking for the answer, I'm just asking how to do it. It's a review for my math class and I haven't done this in two years.

  1. I think you mean direct variation, not direction variation.

    It's going to have the form y=mx.  Since you know one of the points, plug in the given point for x and y to find m

    9=m*3

    m=3

    The equation is y=3x
