Writers? Is it normal,after finishing a large project,that you feel emotionally drained? and sad?

i have just finished a large treatment ( short story) that is 140 +

pages,. today I feel befeft and sad.... just kinda " blah" , kinda "there,"

help for it???

I have another story but I dont wanna write on it just yet...

even though I am told, it will be my " money-maker".

help !!!

Are you absolutely sure that you're finished with your story? Do you feel completely satisfied with what you wrote? Maybe you're feeling sad because you left that project before you were meant to leave it. When I finish writing something and I feel that it's even more wonderful that I had hoped for it to be, I feel very happy...never sad. You shouldn't be feeling "blah." I think this is a sign that you need to go back to your first story before moving onto another project. This dreary cloud hanging over your head will not be good for your creative juices. If you've put so much energy and emotion into your first story, then you shouldn't just move on so quickly.
