  1. The girl who sits next to me (or a row from me, or whereever it is) is more than just the typical college student. She's someone who has a variety of likes and dislikes and an unusual family. One would never guess her favorite hobby, and would be surprised at the fact that she _____. (HER NAME HERE) is a very interesting person.

  2. "Over?" In my neck of the woods, which is the USA, the word would be "about."

List everything you know about her:  her background, her hobbies, her goals, her family life, friends. Then once you have the list, try to combine the items into categories and discuss each one.

  3. Start your college essay describing this person.  Always avoid the cliche introductions.  Visualize her in a specific setting, then describe every detail of her.  After that, you can move on to her personality, dis/likes, etc.  It could begin like this: "Long hair swaying gently in the breeze enshrouded her tanned face and grey eyes."  Just continue down the body, using context clues to tell us more about her than you actually say.  For example, if you describe her outfit, and at the end we realize she's wearing a uniform of some type, then we already know more about her than you've told us.
