  1. You should find writers guidelines on each site of various publishers.

  2. I always wanted to write one,so this info may come in handy. Depends

on what specific way you want to handle it. Resources for writing romance-go to-www.ebookcrossroads.com/romance-writi... Looking for a Publisher, but want your freedom to do so-www.AuthorHouse.com; Self publishing and selling, Swept Away Books for Romance writers by Wordclay-www.wordclay.com/partners/swept... Amazon offers-www.BookSurge.com. Hope that helps you out! Love to see the finished product!

  3. It doesn't really matter until you've finished writing and you're trying to get a book published.

If you can write a Mills and Boons romance though, you're a better writer than me though-I just can't write anything that cliché. There's a real market in them though.

The general lay out of a manuscript (that's what it's called when you're writing a novel-it's not a book until it's been published), is double spaced, Times New Roman 11 or 12pt, or similar, with your name, the title and page number in a header or footer. Start each paragraph and new speaker with a small indent (I use 0.7cm but 0.5 is sufficient). Don't leave lines between paragraphs.

Mills and Boons books tend to be quite short, so I'd say anything from 50-75,000 words. Pages don't matter. Chapters can be as long or as short as they need to be; you can give them a title, put the chapter number or do neither, it's up to you.
