  1. You could have witnessed a bank raid and write a brief actual account of the robbery, as well as the part you witnessed from your perspective. Or you could have witnessed the birth of a child and write about it from both your perspective and that of the mothers.

  2. just write about how you 'saw' a man getting hit by a car or something. Like [bad example]:

I'd been walking along 52nd Street when I heard the wheels tearing across the street and looked up; Crazy Pete had been hit by a car! etc.

  3. There are 1000s of incidents you could have witnessed from the mundane to the extraordinary.

The simplest witnessing could be just being a witness at a wedding - or being a witness at a murder trial. Or you could go for the extra ordinary witnessing of  an alien abduction.

How about combinig  two of them.

Start with the mundane - you are walking through a strange town when you are pulled into a registrar's office to be a witness at a wedding of a couple you have never met before - may be a g*y wedding to make it more interesting - just as the service is nearing completion a beam of light comes through the window and they are abducted by aliens - or may be they were aliens in human guise .......

  4. It was one of those days when you get out off bed on the wrong side and know something is going to happen....had breakfast....left the house as asual.....going towards bus stop..out of the blue  ......???

  5. How about you see someone you know and are quite sure what you've seen but no one believes you and they can prove the person you saw wasn't there,  But you are really sure you are right and you check up on it and it turns out that it was an alibi and no one was supposed to see him there and his gang try to kill you and you have to outwit them and go to the police

  6. Maybe like you could have a dream about seeing an accident and describe it in vivid detail and then the next day you awake and go to town and witness it again. Scary stuff.  You'd have to be made of stone not to be saddened by that

  7. Writing a short story can be a very fun experience, because you can make it as creative and imaginative as you want! If it is about you witnessing something, you could make it about you witnessing some kind of miracle, such as someone getting run over by a car, or you could make it a heroic story about someone saving anothers life like the Us coast guards save lives in water accidents. Just go with what situation you feel you can personally put yourself into while in the writing process of this story. Get creative!

  8. start out with how you might feel when witnessing this something. free-write for a bit- use random things you could have witnessed and just go. When you find something that really flows stick with that and a story with come.

  9. Hi, i think one of the things we tend to witness most and are effected by are the changes in people and our surroundings, its a good place to start, you may have witnessed a friends disloyalty or something that changed in you area.So you can start with what it was, how it made you feel and the outcome of that action. Hope it helps.

  10. You could have witnessed a accident or a ghost or something.....

  11. write anything you feel. if you like the idea, expand it.

my ideas- ghost, murder, the death of someone, someone stealing something, your friend ditching you, a house on fire.

what happens could be connected to you like a friend caught hte hosue on fire or your dad was hte murderer.

i'm not saing any of this is true! just ideas.
