i'm writing an Irish based story so of course the characters are Irish and have an Irish accent. how should i show their accents? for example should i replace this and is with 'tis? or is that British? don't they say ye and yer a lot? and should something like my friend become me friend? what other things would make the characters sound very Irish? thanks

  1. Replace boy with laddie.

    Girl with lassie.

And this would sound like 'iss and it is would be "tis".

If someone is going to perform the dialogs- they should learn how to sound Irish or Celtic.

Watch videos on youtube posted from Ireland.  Its really helpful.

  2. write what you know. the story will suck if you go out of your knowledge range.
