Writing for pleasure.?

i love writing and im wondering if their are any competitions, etc. that i could submit my work to, if anyone has any info it would be greatly appreciated. competitions for all ages even children, thankyou.

fictionpress.net sounds like a great place for your work. Sometimes they have communities and if they like your work, you'll get an invitation to have your work put in the archive. Email  me some of your work, I love to write as well. I would be honored to see some of your stories :)

Acttually, there are tons of writing competitions out there, most with monetary prizes. Our society today reads so little (pathetic, really) that libraries, book stores, publishing companies, etc. are always trying to get people to read and write. I can't name any for you, but I'd bet you could google writing contests in your area and come up with at least one thing.

I don't know of any competitions, but I've heard rakemag.com is looking for new writers.
