Writing on an envelope?

when writing the address on the front of an envelope for a job application - is it better to write in capitals or small letters?

As, presumably you will be using your computer and printer for the your cav and accompanying letter why not print out the envelope as well, all printers have settings to allow this.

All caps whether typed (preferred) or written is the way to go for the best legibility at the post office.

Depends what your hand writing is like, if its neat and easily read i'd only use capitals with names etc and the rest in lower case. If your writing is difficult to read then i'd write in block capitals but not over large, your naormal size writing just in block capital.

Capitals, but nobody will even notice the envelope.

First letter of any proper name is caps, rest lower case.

All caps looks childish. The exception might be the name of the country. And post codes.
