Writing poetry?

okay I write really good poetry, and my ultimate goal is to have my own poetry book published one day. So my question is how do I go about doing this, and how hard is it. I know it's pretty difficult to get a childrens book published, so I was wondering about poetry. Also I have written all of my poems threw my teenage years, so the book would be geared towards teens.

  1. Web on Dustbooks.....they have a complete line of books to help you. I use the International Directory of Little Magazines and Small Presses to find publishers of books.

This book has presses for ALL types of poetry...Len Fulton, the owner of Dustbooks is a great guy and has ansered several of my questions!

  5. Writing contests are pretty good. Look through magazines and news papers and submit some of your work. That will get you noticed. There is a writers magazine too (I don't remember the name) that you could subscribe to as well.

English teachers and professors are good too. Ask someone at your college.
