Writting my CV please help!?

Any advice on how to write my own CV. Being really new to looking for work, i need as much help as possible! Are there anysites that have a template to follow for writting a CV?

Learn direct website has a CV builder.  Keep it relevant but also include any relevant hobbies (like yoga shows you can control yourself or if you were in the scouts, you work well in a team).  Tailor your CV for the job you are going for.  Make sure you can talk about every point if you had to in an interview.  Use spell check!  I would construct as follows;

1. Name and contact details

2. Employment history

3. Education

4. Professional qualifications and personal achievements (courses, prefect at school, etc)

5. Personal info (qualities - team work, problem solving- and hobbies)

6. Referees (make sure you ask them first).

Use bullet points rather than long winded paragraphs to give details.

If you have Publisher on your Computer, it has alot of Templates for Resumes.

Another Good idea is to go your local Library and get a book on Resume Writing, it will help.  It helped me, I had a really old-fashioned Resume and couldn't understand why I wasn't getting any appointments.  I got a book from the Library and followed what it said.  Within a week of having my new Resume, I had 3 Interviews.  The Librarian will be able to help you find the most up-to-date book.

* Honours you've recieved

Breakdown of your school/uni/college qualifications

Break down of core skills e.g. good communication skills (try and back this up with experience etc)
