They incorrectly input my Vehicle Identification Number(VIN) on my ticket, they don't have my license number also because it's a brand new car. It is only one digit off ....I am wondering will it trace back to me?

  1. probably not.

  2. LOL dont say nothing til the court date. the judge will toss it out. you will pay nothing. just take in your vehicle registration for proof and the ticket. been there done that. it gets dismissed.

  3. No. Probaby not.

  4. All information on the ticket must be correct.  If it is not the right VIN number then it technically is not the right car.  They should dismiss on a technicality.

  5. You wont win because this is done everyday of the week so just pay it and move on and yes they will find you.

  6. Just for the record I recently got a ticket where the officer mispelledy name, wrote down the wrong city and state, my race (he put I was black and I am white) and incorrectly wrote down my plate. The ticket was still valid and because he got my driver's liscense number correct I was still expected to pay it. I was so mad so if he got your DL # correct it can still be traced to you and you will still be expected to pay.

  7. you do not state where u live

but i can tell u a story where incorrect info let a man off

he was caught red handed not issueing tickets on a bus route

rumor was he did this 2 times a day 5 days per week and ripping off the company around $300 per week

When it came time to go to court they had the wrong date

eg  Tues 15th  but that was day off   it happened on say  WED 16th.....the company was ordered to pay him $10 000 for wrongful dismissal and pay costs

in your case depending on the law and where u live

just say its not my car

    look at the vin number

remember they  must prove your guilt no t u prove your innocence

  8. fight it!

  9. Lucky you!

If the info on a ticket is incorrect, you will skate on the violation.
