Question:

Wrong button pressed, sound gone!?

I listened to a cd yesterday, then turned off the system. Later on, came back to listen to another cd, no sound from the speakers. Nothing changed hardware wise, it was working then it wasn't. I think I pressed a wrong button & messed up a setting. I had to get Geek Squad out last time this happened, can't afford that again!

System is -

TV (cable) with Bose speakers (2 + subwoofer).

The TV sounds are working out of the TV self-speaker, but nothing (CD, DVD or TV) comes out of the Bose. It must just be a button pressed wrong, but I really can't work it out. Any ideas anyone, please?!

  1. Check to make sure you didn't accidently press the a/b selector button which is normally right next to the power button.  If you press this accidently, it will cut of your sound.  Just press it again to get the sound back.
