Wtf blew my soundcard! Help!?

Question

OK so I was dumb... I used a 1/4 to 1/8 converted from a headphone and plugged my guitar into my computer. My soundcard is now blown... I really need some help here.

I looked at some sound cards and I'm looking at this one

Creative Sound Blaster SB0570 Audigy SE 7.1 Channels 24-bit 96KHz PCI Interface Sound Card . From newegg for 32$(with shipping)

Nothing fancy really as I'm only 16 and I don't really wanna pay the big bucks for a little difference in audio quality. (but if you can recommend a better one for around or a little higher price please do)

Will this sound card fit in my dell inspiron 530? I'm pretty sure it would but I'm just making sure before I buy it. Thanks!

lol dude nice, any sound card is good as long as its compatible, get something middle-of-the line, not crappy, not the very best, but still really good xD (musta been cool when u plugged ur guitar into ur pc lol, nice)
