1 cup of this progress clam chowder has 5 grams of protein and 6% iron

  1. Clam chowder in a can doesn't have that many clams. It is mostly made up of milk and potatoes.


  2. You are comparing two different things with the only one thing they have in common. Clams cooked are not the same as the clams found and stewed, minced and processed in that can of soup. So, the nutritional content is going to be much higher for strictly clams than it might even get close to in soup that contains a minuscule amount of clams as just one of the many ingredients.
