There acting like Manny was the only player on the red sox that did anything.

A ball club has more than 9 players get that threw you skulls.

You're absolutely right, people don't seem to understand that it is a TEAM game.  I don't know what's so hard to comprehend about that.  Not to mention Jason Bay is a great replacement.  Personally, I would rather have Bay then Manny anyways.  Bay will hit just as well with a higher average, he plays better defense, he hustles on every play and he's not going to be a clubhouse cancer.

EDIT: Vito, it was actually 2004 and 2007.  Unfortunately the Chicago White Sox won the series in 2005.

I agree, Manny only contributed with the bat, not so much on defense, but Red Sox fans aren't the smartest bunch, and they like to dwell on things, like the World Series they just won. They probably won't winn another for a while, but the fans will say, "Well who won the Series on "2005 and 2007."

You are correct Boston still has great players, but Manny was the RBI king. If Boston can get a hitter like Manny they will be just as good or better if the guy play's good defense. The guy from Pitt. is batting 206 with runners in scoring position and Manny was batting over 300.

I hear you. BUT....with Papi and Manny back to back in the lineup the Redsox had a chance to win every single game. His presence alone is what will be missed by us Redsox fans.
