Question:

Wuld an australian python live in this tall enclosure?

4ft high, 2.5long, 2.5wide i want a python wat wuld best fit in that i need an australian python because we are not allowed to import other herp we are only allowed our native herps

  1. any carpet python probly a coastal


  2. Most carpets would happily live in that enclosure - being aboreal (tree climbing) many prefer a taller enclosure rather that most you see that are more lengthways. So add a few large branches to make use of the space available.

    You might get away with housing a coastal carpet also, but bare in mind some commonly reach the 9 foot mark as adults and might be better off with a tad more room.

    However if you are planning on getting a hatchling python, remember they should be housed in smaller enclosures or even plastic tubs with a tight fitting lid. They can often get too stressed out going straight into a huge enclosure and feel more comfortable and secure in a smaller one.
