Wuldnt it b a shock if at ur scan u were told u were having certain s*x and then it turns out its other!?

i was todl at my 20weeks scan im having a girl so have bought all the clothes basically pink! tonnes of them! all the like bouncer ive been given etc is pink and loads of other stuff is pink

imagine if it came out a boy! id b screwed lol =)

i know it hardly ever happens but

anyone had that experience?

when i was pregnant with my son we were told he was a girl at 18 weeks then it was confirmed at the next 3 ultrasound appts, i had a babyshower when i was 36 weeks pregnant for a little girl and was totally prepared to have a girl... at 37 weeks i went in for another ultrasound and to be scheduled for being induced, at this appt we were told i was having a boy... not that i wasn't happy to have a boy but i was so upset because i already had everything for a girl that i started to sob... thanks to hormones, my doctor was so sorry and felt horrible for making me cry. i did end up having a shower for a boy due to last minute changes in the shower my husbands family was throwing me the following weekend... i thought it was the worse thing that could ever happen to me. but now my son is fixing to be 2 and i couldn't be happier that i had a boy instead of a girl... luckily i found out before he was born... and almost didn't. i found out he was a boy on tuesday had my shower for a boy on saturday and he was born three days later on the next tuesday at 5 am....

could have been worse... LOL

At about 39 weeks, I started really worrying that our girl would come out as a boy and he would be dressed in all pink.  Luckily, she's a she!  I think it's normal to worry.  Hopefully you left the tags on some clothes and saved the receipts!

Otherwise, you can save it all for the next one.

The entire time my mom was pregnant, my whole family told her that she was having a boy, even though no one knew because she wanted it to be a surprise, so both sides of the family and her friends bought ALL boy stuff, TONS of Noah's Ark, blue, blue, blue everywhere, and then my sister was born. lol, the first 6 months of her life until she outgrew everything, she wore only blue, and everyone thought she was a boy. It makes for a good laugh later.

It happened to my friend she was told she was having a boy and a girl came out. I have my anatomy scan on Thur and I am nervous that they will tell me the wrong s*x. I'm buying a ton of unisex clothing for now (lol)

Yes it has happened to me actually (i have a closet full of all girl stuff... from clothes to crib blankets...etc. everything!!!, and i washed everything so i couldnt return it)

anyways i was told throughout my whole pregnancy i was having a girl. and i even had sonograms and ultrasounds done EVERY doctor visit. and each visit i asked my doctor to check and make sure i was having a girl. and each visit he told me "its not like your baby is going to change s*x in the middle of your pregnancy, you're having a girl" he would even point to the screen.

well when i went to be induced, and 18 hours of labor later... i gave birth to a healthy 7lb 3ounce boy. i was so shocked! but from the beginning i was hoping for a boy. when i found out that i thought i was having a girl. i just wanted a healthy  baby. guess i got what i wanted huh?

now the next time, i dont want to know... cause i have everything for either s*x ;-) lol

Well my boyfriend's sister is a nurse, she told me recently that one of her patients was suppose to have a girl and bought everything for a girl.When it came to delivery, it was a bouncing baby boy. The mom was happy but mad cause she can't return the clothes for she have wash them already.

Well with my first pregnancy we went in at 24 weeks and was told "three lines its a girl" and I have the video of the ultrasound.  So I went out and spent $300 on girls stuff.  At 32 weeks I went into labor and they did a scan to check size and everything and the legs were spread open and they said "ummm what did you say the s*x was again" and I said "a girl" the tech looked at me and said "I hope you didn't buy all pink because there is a p***s here" and showed me and I just had to laugh then cry then laugh again lol my family didn't believe me until out popped a big boy big balls and all lol.

lol I worry about that every day.

But what I've been doing is saving all of my reciepts. I buy alot of stuff at walmart and they will return stuff with a reciept up to 3 month.

But yeah, stuff people buy for you theres not a whole lot you can do. Just hope the doctor knows what hes talking about!!!

My aunt was told my cousin was a boy. She didn't have another ultrasound during pregnancy, and when the baby came out it was a girl! Apparently the labia can swell and look like a p***s in an ultrasound. However, the further along you are the lower the chance of that mistake happening. I think she was only 17 weeks at the time.
