If you have a skill that is in short supply in Canada then you shouldn't have much trouble coming here.  Regarding the points, you gain 2 points for each question you answer, costs 5 to ask a question and you get 10 points for best answer.  Click on your user name to get the full story.  How did you get on here without going through those screens?
