that more people went to wrestlemania than the olympics, 91,000 where in attendance of the olympics and wrestlemania was around 94,000. YAY!

In WWE one stadium was filled for one night. The Olympic stadium was filled for over 2 weeks without even considering the other venues. In the case of the Olympics the winner wasn't decided well in advance.

Am I the only one that can see the incredibly huge flaw in this? You are listing the capacity of one stadium, not the entire attendance for the games.

2004 (Athens) - 3.8 million tickets sold

2000 (Sydney) - 6.7 million tickets sold

1996 (Atlanta) - 8.3 million tickets sold

The 2008 Bejing Olympics will be somewhere in the reigon of 6.0 - 9.0 million tickets sold.

Just a tad more than the wrestling 94,000 ;-)

Proably won't happen because they can't even come close to the WM 3 record of 93,000. They don't make stadiums that big anymore and if they did go to one that could, the stage and lights would block off a good part of the seats which was not around in 1987.

If the 91,000 is for the entire olympics your number is way to low.

If your number is for either the opening or closing event only it is to high; as the birdcage sits 80,000 people.

Additionally, you do not take into consideration the world wide tv audience of the olympics as compaired to Wrestlemania.

You cannot compair the two.
