wasn't a treadle, but close.

however, many adult schools have sewing classes.

and experienced sewers to help you avoid some of the more common mistakes.

while you do pay, it's not a lot.

and you can have someone look at what you're doing and make suggestions.

go to your local library. they have many books on how to sew! that's how i learned to sew new cushions for my old couch!
