X Box 360 or Playstation 3?

Question

I have a 360 right now. It is good but I have had the ring of death twice, It started doing it again. Should I sell the games and get the PS3? Also does the PS3 have any major problems like that?

Well if you dont have any warrantie on the 360 then call microsoft ill even give you the number it is 1800-4my-xbox which is 1800-469-9269

There will be a guy named max that answeres dont think hese a real person he is just a machine. later he will get you customer service and you can ask him about the 3 year warranty the have and he will take good care of yaa. But if your tired of it and want to get a ps3 then go ahead and get it but the 360 is alot better and your going to miss out on gears of war 2 and more. And no there is no problem with the ps3 wooptidoo! but there was this one time when it blew up on this guy in his house and you should have seen it it was in the news where im from the ps3 was burnt up and very thing. so if you get a ps3 have fun with the two coolest games that are on the console.

I have both and personally prefer the 360. I feel your pain though, I'm on my 3rd. Yeah, it's broken that many times since I got my first (right after it first launched). The consoles are really similar in that they have basically the same big games available for both with a few exceptions (like Metal Gear Solid 4 for the PS3 and Halo 3 for the 360). Unless you are really into it, the graphics are not really that much different from each other.

I just prefer Xbox Live for multiplayer, and I prefer the marketplace to Sony's in that it's just structured better and is more accessible. This all doesn't matter if you don't plan on going online though I suppose.

The 360's are more reliable now than the launch ones and they extended the warranty for them. I think I'm still covered actually and, like I said I bought my first at launch. If you don't think it's worth testing, then get a PS3, mine had yet to s***w up on me (knock on wood).

No the PS3 does not. ive had one since the christmas before last but i also have an xbox 360 and i have never had the ring of death, if your fed up with the 360 than i would get the ps3, it also has blue-ray. :]

well i don't go any of them but i play the x box 360 and ps3 i will say that the ps3 is way better than  x box 360 from my heart

if you still have the warranty you can just replace it or send it to microsoft for repair i think you should keep a 360 it is way better

Yeh you should definitely sell the games. I bought my 3rd Xbox 360 cause of the red ring of death. Then i bought the nyco cooling thingy for my 2nd 360 and it made the 360 overheat much faster.

I recently bought a ps3 a few month ago and never have my ps3 had something like the 360 red ring of death. I play the ps3 for hours and hours all night and never have any problems.

If i were you i would of got a ps3 a long time ago and not waste over thousand of dollars on the 360s. Playing Metal gear solid 4 is super fun and the best game i have ever played.

Plus great games is coming out in a few months like M.A.G. (250 players on one map), Killzone2, etc.

Halo3 is pretty good online for the first few months then you're going to get bored of it and theres lots of racist players on there.

xbox has techinically better standards. its more powerful (i.e. faster) and has better graphics, and is slightly more durable. some people prefer PS3s just because they like playstations, they prefer the games, or because the PS3 has a blu-ray DVD player.
