X-Files Question? What's up with this charactor?

in the episode "Trustno1" is the Shadow man, supposed to be the same guy as in the first X-Files movie? You know the agent that blew up with the bomb in the building? it's the same actor Terry O'Quinn I was wondering if he was supposed to be the same character, even though he "died" in the movie maybe it's part of the conspiracy?

Don't forget two other possibilities - there were supersoldiers who couldn't die.  He might be one of them.  There were also clones and human-alien hybrids, so he might be one of them.  Great show!

I don't think he was supposed to be the same character, because the actor was also in the episode Aubrey in season 2.  Michaud definitely died in the movie, and couldn't be in an episode in season 8.   There are several actors that have multiple roles throughout the series, mostly because the talent pool in Vancouver was small and they didn't have a lot of actors to choose from.  Maybe they just liked working with him.

Or, maybe it is part of the conspiracy.  It's the X-Files.  Who knows?
