X Games all set to celebrate its 10 years in Los Angeles this June
Returning to Los Angeles, California for the 10th year, X Games has its starting date pulled back and will not now kicking off from June 28 to July 1.
Arguably the biggest stage of action sports, X Games has been delivering plenty of memorable performances and featuring historic moments since 2002 in Los Angeles. The best extreme sports athletes from around the globe anxiously wait to receive an invitation to perform in front of the massive crowd that grab the opportunity to see the daring athletes put their prowess on display.
Commenting on the latest edition of X Games, the senior vice president of programming and X Games Scott Guglielmino stated, “ESPN is thrilled to be celebrating 10 years of X Games in Los Angeles and to showcase the incredible progression and excitement that fans have come to anticipate each year. The world-class athletes, competition and distinctive elements of X Games Los Angeles truly embody the global nature and appeal of action sports.”
Invitations have already been dispatched to a number of exciting action sports athletes, which include America’s Brian Deegan, Nyjah Huston, Marisa Dal Santo, Venezuela’s Daniel Dhers, Canada’s Pierre-Luc Gagnon and Australia’s Steve McCann.
The previous editions of X Games in Los Angeles kicked-off from July 28 – 31. However, the date has been moved one month earlier this year to get the action underway in the final week of June.
The ESPN-hosted mega-event of action sports will once again go down in downtown Los Angeles’ L.A. Live venues and event spaces, which include Nokia Theatre, Event Deck and STAPLES Center.
In order to deliver the live X Games action to as many fans as possible, ESPN, ESPN 2 and ABC will combine to telecast 21 hours of exciting action live from Los Angeles. Fans across the globe will be able to watch the thrilling performances at one greatest stage of extreme sports. It would not matter if someone is sitting in Asia, Australia, Africa, Middle East, New Zealand, South America, Israel or Brazil as ESPN, ESPN 2 and ABC will ensure that nobody stays deprived of the enthralling action that X Games promises to deliver.
