X Type Jag "Any Good?"?

Looking at getting Jag estate 3years old high miles, anybody any hints or tips?

Every Jag is brill and the best to me is the x type purely because it does 0-60 in about 5.5 secs

They are good performance cars and have good interior quality, but they tend to slide downward in reliability. As with any European car, reliability is usually an issue.

No, they are a NIGHTMARE and cost a fortune to operate,breakdown regularly and you'll have a lot of people looking at you convinced that your an idiot.

Although I am not a fan of the modern Jaguars, it does make sense as a used buy. The estate is spacious with some good comfort levels. If you are buying high mileage models then it needs to have a full Jaguar approved service history and needs to be immaculate.

05/55 Plated Jaguar estates range from £7995-£10295 for 120k mile models. Equivelent German Audi A4 Avant/BMW 3 series Tourers/Mercedes C-Class Estates will cost anywhere between £12995-£29995.

Stay away, if you don't you will be spending alot of time at your local mechanic. Jags dont have the best reliability and w/ high miles its more of a risk to break down, if you wanted to buy a new jag tho, their alot better and alot more reliable. I would stay away from the 05 and below Jags and Land Rovers

Basically a Mondeo (old shape) with a coat, personally I would always buy a German product especially if your buying high mileage.

don't buy a Jaguar, Audi, Saab, MB.

don't ever buy a Jeep or a Range/Land Rover.

jag service history a must,use synthetic engine oil etc.prevention is the secret.

I'd forget that it's a Mondeo chassis & have a test drive: Not the best reputation, but it's a nice looking car with a Jag badge. A lot of people very happy with them, take a plunge!!!
