X-box 360, doesn't work???

Question

We bought an x-box 360 maybe 3 or 4 months ago, and it doesn't work for the game I bought, "Viva Pinata." We only use the xbox360 on the computer screen, not the TV. It doesn't work now? It seems to freeze during startup when the big green ball xbox logo shows up, or on the main menu. HELP!?
