X-country saddles?

Question

I'm looking for a good x-country saddle (knee blocks, thigh blocks, maybe monoflap) custom or not. I have a hard to fit 17.3 hand TB, any suggestions for a brand?

have county saddlery come out to your farm. Google county saddlery and find a rep in your area.

I have the same problem and they fit me and my horse. They made a custom flap for me and custom panels for my mare. I ended up with just a regular jumping saddle (county innovaton) but i sat in many X-country models and rode in them too. You can keep them on trial for a little while. If you are not a weird size (need long flap short flap ect) They will most likely have a used model you can purchase. I don't think they do monoflap but i rode in a mono flap saddle and hated it. I thought i would love it because i ride bareback everyday and had a CC saddle.

County is expensive but they are sooo worth it. Even  if you don't purchase a saddle you can still get fitted to know what size you and your horse need. I thought my mare was a medium wide and ended up being a medium narrow. They can suggest options for your current saddle too if you are haveing problems fitting it.
